I want to order vegetarian food in Thai, but I’m starting from zero.

มีอาหารมังสวิรัติไหม

mii aa-hǎan mang-sà-wí-rát mái

Do you have vegetarian food?

And how do I ask for no meat?

You can keep it short and simple:

ไม่ใส่เนื้อสัตว์

mâi sài núea sàt

Without meat.

A small distinction: vegetarian dishes can still contain fish sauce or meat stock. We’ll practice asking about those, too.
